A quick update
Sorry for not updating this site of late, but there’s been a couple of decent reasons:
1. I’m in the final stage of getting my company’s first book out the door, Flushing Fever by Evan Pritchard. Electronic versions of the book may be on sale as early as next week. I’m very excited about this project and think we’re going to do pretty well with it.
2.This site is going to get a new front end reflecting the fact that I’m running, as far as I know, for Township Supervisor.
I’m still awaiting for word from Chester County Voter Services concerning the latter, although some wags have suggested that I’m quite hard to find, having only appeared on ballots in the county three or four times since 2001. Undoubtedly, it’s a pain in the neck to certify write-in races and I’ll hear something soon.
I did escape from my work bunker last night to attend State Sen. Andy Dinniman’s race and catch up with a number of old friends. It’s great to see a full Democratic slate here in Chester County, finally, and a chance to win a number of the county row offices. I have some strategic concerns, which I will not list here, on the off chance that someone in the party, a: listens to me, and b: actually adopts my suggestions. Yeah, I know, a Bruce Willis musical had a better chance of winning an Oscar than that happening.
To Andy’s credit, he’s really done a great job of expressing what should be the Democratic mantra of the future: social liberalism coupled with fiscal conservatism (or the literal opposite of the Bush Administration’s policies) and he is certainly making Chester County proud. Obviously, I’m not objective, as he’s taught me a ton about the inner workings of politics and government, offered advice and support to me when I’ve run for office, but I think Andy’s doing a great job in the state Senate.
